This means that office parties are once again on the menu, and that’s great as they were sorely missed. However, one thing that wasn’t missed is the risk of unknown and uninvited individuals getting into secure areas of the workplace. Office parties create the perfect opportunity for just that type of risk. You can call it tailgating or social engineering. But no matter what you call it, unauthorized people in the workplace are a potential threat to everyone’s security and could cause damage to equipment, data leaks or even physical harm to people.
